Occasionally, bugs may be present in organic or minimally processed produceāeven with strict quality controls. However, Sunbasket expects its items to be clean and ready for safe home prep. Remember, bugs also prefer organic produce just like we do.
If you find a bug in your produce from Sunbasket, here's what to do:
š Step 1: Simply wash the Affected Produce
- If its a bug, we know this is a quality issue that we can bring up with our suppliers. You can wash and use itāSunbasket needs to know exactly what you received.
šø Step 2: Take Photos
Take clear photos of:

The bug itself (close-up if possible)

The produce that the bug came in

Any labels or packaging associated with the item
š Step 3: Report the Issue to Sunbasket Customer Support
